Help for an AMAZING single mom.

For nearly 10 years while living in NYC I was given the profound honor of working with and serving girls and young women in NYC who were at risk, and or forced to endure the many systems of oppression built to keep them down. I was not only their advocate but with many of the young women I developed long lasting relationships that I still have today, and that’s why I’m here asking for your help. There is one particular young woman named Lara who I have known since she was a teenager, She is living in Las Vegas with her toddler son and her infant daughter and she was recently involved in a car accident that has left her without a car. This means Lara now has no car, and no way of getting to a job, her phone has been turned off so she can’t get calls back for employment opportunities and now has no permanent housing. Lara is doing everything she can to make ends meet but in a city like Las Vegas you cannot get very far without a car.

I am reaching out for your help to get this amazing single mom back up on her feet. While there is the financial part of GoFundMe that would be instantly helpful for Lara, I am also interested in legitimate resources that could help Lara in the longterm, please do feel free share with me. These are the times we live in, and without community and care for each other I don’t know how any of us would be able to get through the day, these days. These are hard and strange times we live in.
