Help for American Navy Veteran Christopher David
Recently the world has been a crazy place. We, as Americans, grew up with a pride for our country and our servicemen. Recently we were faced with a sorrowful tragedy, as "Riot Police" beat and maced one of our fine veterans. His name is Christopher James David.
Christopher James David was commissioned on May 25, 1988, and served on active duty as a civil engineer corps officer until Jan. 31, 1996, according to his official Navy biography. He left the Reserves on June 30, 2000.
His awards include the Navy Achievement Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Rifle (Marksman), and Pistol (Expert).
David said that he had asked the officers why they were violating the Constitution just before they used force against him. "I'm appalled and disappointed at the feds' behavior -- that whoever led them and trained them allowed them to become this way," he said. Later tweeting that he'd need screws and plates in his hand.
He is why this fundraiser was started. Let us come together and show, that no matter the time or trouble we are facing as a country, we will always stand by our servicemen -- our veterans -- our heroes.
We've gotten in contact with Mr. David aka Captain Portland. He has asked that the money raised from this campaign be put towards the Street Medics Fund. We will be withdrawing the money and allocating it towards the Street Medics Fund as the funds become available. We will also be including a link to the Street Medic Fund.
Who we are: A small group of patriots from Washington, Oregon, and Ohio who've come together in support of what we feel to be an amazing cause.
