On October 28, 2023, Ali and her oldest son were involved in a severe life changing car accident. They were both on the way to her youngest child’s game. A diesel truck did not stop through a red light going 70 mph, T- boned directly at Ali’s driver door. This caused the car to spin and veer backwards into the embankment across the street several feet down. They were hit so hard the drivers door was caved in crushing Ali’s entire left side. The jaws of life were used as well as physically sawing her out of the car. Ali was rescued by several first responders unconscious en route life flight while her son was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The shear force of impact caused life altering injuries to Ali with numerous broken bones. Her son had severe concussion as well as whiplash. Today, she successfully had surgery to reconstruct Ali’s left leg. There is a long road to recovery for Ali as she needs to relearn to walk again.
