Friends and Family,

In December of this year, 2022, I suffered from a stroke that rendered me unable to speak or perform basic human functions. As you already know, in 2016 I underwent brain surgery to remove dead tissue that was caused by my epilepsy and frequent seizures. I’ve struggled with my health the past ten years and this stroke has sadly reversed a lot of progress and created new worrying challenges.

Despite my declining health, I was feeling optimistic about my future as I finally graduated college last spring and earned my Bachelor’s Degree. I wanted my independence, I wanted to see and do so many things and I felt finishing school was vital in seizing those opportunities. I unfortunately never considered the possibility that at the age of 27, I would be unable to communicate and disabled.

I often struggle with asking for help, but I’m at a point in life where I’m out of options. This next year is going to be crucial in making sure I’m able to reverse and prevent further damage and loss of cognitive functions. I will be staying at a rehab center and eventually transfer into an occupational program to treat my speech aphasia and other cognitive impairments. I am going to start seeing numerous doctors and make a lot of appointments within the next few years. As you can imagine, the cost for all of this is high and as I’ve been unable to work these past few years, it’s crippling. I am coming to you all to ask for your help and support in anyway you can. All donations will be greatly appreciated and I truly cannot begin to express my gratitude and what this means to me. All donations will be going towards the cost of medical bills, lab testings, rehab, therapy and outpatient treatments.
