Greetings from Asia and Gabriel Arceneaux
Our stressful ordeal started after arriving at our son's school to pick him up and he was nowhere to be found; Alex was later located in the nurses office having his right eye flushed of debris from an unintentional graze of a classmates pencil. Upon arriving home the seriousness of his eye injury became evident, as Alex was in unbearable pain, unable to open his eyes; we were advised to rush him to a different location at the emergency room , not to our local children's hospital, but to the County hospital emergency trauma center. The gravity of his eye injury pulled at our hearts when we were told that our son required immediate surgery and stitches were needed to close the wound to his eyeball. We are told his vision will never be the same again that he will require glasses for the rest of his life so he will require surgery again in one month with the hopes of getting his vision back .
We are a young family struggling like many others during these trying times to make ends meet, this unexpected incident compounds our woes. We humbly request that Alex and all those involved in his care be included in your heartfelt prayers. Greatly appreciated would be any Encouragement, wisdom and financial assistance provided to help further the specialized medical care and recovery of Alex's eyesight .
