Help for Alex's Hospital Bills and Expenses

My dear friend and roommate Alex Baum is currently in the hospital being treated for bilateral MRSA pneumonia, meaning infection in both lungs, that led to a partial lung collapse, MRSA septicemia, septic embolisms on his heart and lungs, and endocarditis, which is a serious, hard to treat bacterial infection of the heart valve. Untreated, it can cause death in six weeks. The doctor said if he waited a week or two longer to go to the hospital he would have died. He thought he had covid initially and was too sick to work for 3 weeks before going to the hospital. Now he's been hospitalized for over two weeks and has another two weeks of iv antibiotic therapy to go, and will have to recover for two months after being discharged and will be unable to work for that period. Unfortunately he works for a small business that can't afford to lay him off and pay sick leave or unemployment. Not only does he not have money to eat, get dog food, get prescriptions and straight up live and pay rent, but he also is going to have thousands of dollars of medical bills to pay. He really needs all the help he can get, anything helps. Thank you! Update: Got my hospital bill for the two weeks I was at St. Davids before transferring to the skilled nursing facility. Its $160,000. My insurance covered a lot of it thankfully, but I have a high deductible and still have thousands in out of pocket fees to pay. I also will have to financially figure out how to support myself with two more months out of work with no unemployment. Thank y'all so Much! Please Help
