I’m creating this fund to help my cousin, Alex Ross. He is an extremely hard worker and many people around Sandwich have probably seen him out with his tow truck day in and day out. He does not miss a day of work and is the sole provider of his family. Last fall, his world was changed when he woke up and was numb from the waist down and the following day tingling and numbness from his chest down. He was admitted to the hospital and eventually diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He has since progressed to having trouble with balance and walking, sleep issues or can’t sleep at all, exhaustion, stiffness, difficulty breathing, and pain to name a few symptoms. He went from being a strong, hard-working 26-year-old to struggling every day to complete daily activities. He has been trying for months to get approval from the insurance company for his treatment to begin. It was just pushed back another 2 weeks. During this time, he is still not able to work and, as you can imagine, bills are piling up. He would never ask for help and he is ready to get back to work as soon as he can but we want to help with any expenses they need. We want to try and get them a little caught up so that worry of monthly bills is off his plate and he can concentrate on his health. Their family has already been through so much heartache over the last few years, any help is greatly appreciated.
