Help for Alana's Cafe Burlingame employees

We love Alana’s and the great group of people who work there.
We’ve been taking our kids since they were babies (for over a decade) to Alana’s for breakfast on the weekend!
Alana’s is such a special place,
It's an important part of the heart of Burlingame Ave and our community.

We know that many of our friends who live in Burlingame, Hillsborough and San Mateo feel the same way.
Its great comfort food in a cozy neighborhood atmosphere.
The pancakes, the scrambles, the chicken apple sausage!
But more than that, it’s the people:)
The hosts, wait staff and chefs are always so friendly, patient and kind.
They feel like family!

For this period that we’re all social distancing, the team at Alana’s can’t do their jobs.
Yet they still have their own bills to pay, and families to feed.

There are 18 employees of Alana’s Burlingame.
Our goal with this campaign is to raise a total of $18,000, to be distributed equally among them.
If we manage to exceed this $18,000 target (that would be great!) then more money will go to Alana's Burlingame employees.

We spoke with Teresa, the co-owner of Alana’s, who cares a lot for her great team of people.
She was extremely supportive of anything we can do to help her team during this period.
And she’ll be distributing the funds out to them directly.

We've had 49 people contribute
We were asked to provide some additional details about us and this campaign, for those who don't know us
We live in Hillsborough and have been regular customers of Alana's Burlingame
My wife Kaye and I have both met Teresa Lindharsten, the co-owner of Alana's, in person a number of times at the restaurant and on Burlingame Avenue
We are in contact with Teresa (and Teresa is in contact with her co-owner Francesca) about this campaign, and they have been very supportive
When our campaign is finished, we are going to have 100% of the proceeds deposited into Teresa's bank account. Teresa is connected with the 18 employes of Alana's Cafe Burlingame, and she is going to distribute 100% of the proceeds from this campaign in equal amounts out to the 18 employees of Alana's Burlingame
Also - Teresa and Francesca launched another Gofundme campaign yesterday for their employees at their restaurant Sixto's, and to also include their Alana's restaurant in Redwood City. That is great! We're very supportive of that, and are going to also make a contribution to that campaign
