Help for Aaron Oyster, Emma & Bo
On Monday morning August the 30th, Emma, Aaron, Bo and their two dogs started on their daily walk, when they heard a crack overhead. Emma was able to throw herself out of the way, but Aaron, wearing Bo on his chest, was hit by a falling dead tree limb, crushing and trapping the lower half of his body. The emergency technicians arrived quickly: it took three people to lift the branch off Aaron and he was airlifted to UVA Hospital. Miraculously, Bo came out entirely unharmed. Aaron's pelvis was broken in two places, several ribs were broken and he has internal bleeding. Although the prognosis is promising, his goal of becoming a personal trainer will have to be put on hold. The next few months of recovery will be taxing- alongside raising their 10 month old. They do not have insurance and there will only be more bills to come. Hopefully, through the support of our community and beyond we can help them through this time of complete upheaval and healing.
