Help for a wonderful young lady

Paramedic (PCP) Carissa Knull
A story of selfless service to others.
We, Carissa’s friends, are seeking our communities support to help Carissa through a difficult medical journey towards recovery. She is a new Paramedic holding a casual position with Regina EMS and also works at the City’s Detox Centre. Sadly, she has been recently diagnosed with a serious heart condition and required immediate surgery. She had begun to find herself short of breath and dizzy, causing her obvious concern.
Through a whirlwind of extensive tests, this serious condition was discovered. She has been a very active, athletic person and always there for others. She is a generous loving friend, family member, sibling and daughter. She extends her warm caring personality and friendly compassion to those around her including the many complete strangers she helps; she is not at all accustomed to being the one in need.
Unfortunately, her situation may result in further surgeries. Though she was working towards full time hours, this sudden and traumatic interruption to her life combined with her casual employee status provided no time and limited finances to prepare. She does not yet have disability benefits or enough sick leave to cover the time she needs for recovery from this surgery let alone if there are further complications. Like all of us she has housing costs and bills to pay, we as her friends hope many will recognize her chosen career of selfless dedication in the care of others. By being part of her story all of our donations make a collective difference in making this story a much happier one.
Please lend a helping hand through a kind donation to this young lady.
If you wish to provide an in person donation please contact Paramedic Marie Stimson to make arrangements via email: [email redacted]
