Help for a veteran friends funeral cost

My friend John Craig passed away in April. However, he was estranged from his family. They want nothing to do with him. I was granted rights by the judge finally to be able to take care of his funeral arrangements. Since he was a veteran most everything is being handled though the U.S. Marine Corps. The only thing not being handled is the cremation. Which I have found a local funeral home who can do the cremation for $850 and an urn for $100 with the remaining $50 (of the $1000) for gas to bring him to the Dallas/Fort worth National Cemetery for his burial. I unfortunately am only working part time at the current moment and can not handle the cost myself. As stated he was a veteran in not only the Marines but the Army as well. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I have tentatively planned for his burial on Monday the 20th of May. I would hope and pray I can have the means to be able to quickly get him to the funeral home before the 15th if possible. Sooner if I can.
