Help for a local Regina family during a difficult time!
Donation protected
As you may have heard by now, a local family new to Regina were the victims of a robbery over the weekend. Joni Watanabe's home was entered while his family was away at a card show, and specific high-value collectible items worth approximately $20,000 were stolen.
Joni, a recent arrival to Regina, is a well-known Pokémon enthusiast in the TCG community. He is admired for his generosity and his efforts to encourage children and adults to collect and enjoy the hobby.
Many people have asked how they can help Joni. When I contacted him, he was overwhelmed and worried about starting over. To assist, I am launching this GoFundMe to give those of us who want to help, a chance to help. Joni's goal was to sell his collectables this summer to buy a car and find a more permanent home in the city. This fundraiser aims to support that goal specifically and to help his family including his little girl, feel safe again in our community.
