Help for a Healer- Marie-Lynne’s Cancer Journey

Hello everyone, my name is Elsa Fraki and I am hoping to raise some money on behalf of my step-mom, Marie-Lynne Gleeson. After various symptoms, doctors & ER visits, countless tests and physical discomfort since about February, we found the cause of all this.

Marie-Lynne received the diagnosis of Stage 3 Metastatic Ovarian Cancer and we have a long road of surgeries and chemotherapy ahead of us. First being a total hysterectomy, omentectomy, and exploratory surgery to remove anything else found. 

Due to Marie-Lynne being an independent contractor / small business owner and originally being from Canada, she is unable to utilize the state benefits of unemployement, social security, or disability pay to financially assist with the cost of living and medical expenses.

Any money raised is going to do directly to cost of living, food, bills, caregiving, medical equipment, and trying to regain footing to get back towards a new normal. Marie-Lynne has always been a giver and a healer and would never ask for help if it wasn't absolutely necessary. As her step-daughter, I am the only family she has in the states, as her immediate family is in Montreal Canada, and are unable to assist with caregiving or management of care. I have been responsible for the logistics and medical coordination during this time and will be taking a family medical leave of absence from work in order to care for her, as she lives alone and will need quite a bit of assistance after a surgey of this calibur and will continue to need assistance through chemotherapy and recovery.
