Help for a friend and her family

A longtime friend of mine is in great need of help. I met her when J was in coop preschool. She is an amazing mom and friend with a heart of gold and our kids are still friends to this day. She has been through a lot of extremely trying times and has never asked for help as she has too much pride and is afraid of being judged. I am doing this without her knowledge, and she will probably hate me for doing so, but desperate times call for desperate measures. She went through a nasty divorce a while ago and has been trying to get back on her feet. She has not had luck with finding a job and has been living on money from the divorce settlement. Long time mental health issues (that are finally being addressed thanks to Obamacare:), vet bills, and car troubles have only compounded the issue. Her money is running out and she will not have enough to pay her January mortgage. Even if she finds a job soon, December will be rough and she feels like she is failing at providing for her family. I know this is not a long- term solution, however, it would take some stress off of her shoulders by giving her a little safety net. It may also give her a little hope by seeing that she is surrounded by a compassionate community. If you are able to give, any amount would help. Thank you all.
