This Brave Mom needs help to SURVIVE Breast Cancer
Donation protected
No one plans to be a 39 year old single mom with 3 little kids and be diagnosed with an aggressive form of beast cancer. I mean, what the heck?! I thought my dues were paid up after beating thyroid cancer. Sheesh! I still hope I’m going to wake up from this bad dream. But alas.
So, it’s time to fight. It will be an ultra marathon, with 5 months of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and a year of immunotherapy, surgery consisting of double mastectomy and lymph node dissection in December with 8 weeks off of work after, followed by radiation and further reconstructive surgeries. This journey will have lows and crappy days, but I’ll be damned if this thing thinks it can take me from my babies.
Unfortunately despite my best efforts to continue working full time, I’ve had to miss numerous days of work due to chemo related illness and appointments. I’ve also been unable to continue working my second job that supplements my income due to how hard chemo has been on my body. It’s not fair that illness can take so much from someone who works hard and makes every effort possible to succeed.
If you feel compelled to donate, which will aid in medical bills (my treatment team is out of network with my insurance), meals, kid’s needs, rent, and therapy, I will forever be grateful. Either way, I’d love all the good vibes, juju, thoughts, prayers, whatever you got to throw my way. Thank you so much.
