Hi, my name is Keerthana, and I am raising funds to help my neighbour’s 6-year-old daughter Pradiksha in India who is currently fighting Autoimmune Encephalitis, a rare and serious condition where the body’s immune system attacks the brain.
She is currently unconscious and admitted to the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in MGM healthcare, where doctors are doing everything they can to save her life. Her condition is critical and she requires constant monitoring, specialised treatment, and expensive medications.
Her treatment in the PICU requires very expensive medications and specialised therapies, including Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG), which doctors are currently giving to try to control the disease. If this treatment does not work, doctors may need to proceed with Plasmapheresis (plasma exchange therapy), another complex and costly procedure used for severe cases of Autoimmune Encephalitis.
Her mother is only 24 years old and is a single parent raising two young daughters (6 and 3 year old) on her own. Because she must care for her children, she has not been able to maintain stable work, and this sudden medical emergency has left the family completely overwhelmed.
The cost of intensive care, hospital treatment, tests, and medications is extremely high, and the family cannot afford these life-saving treatments alone.
I am hoping to raise funds to help cover her PICU treatment, hospital bills, medications, and ongoing care so that this brave little girl has the best possible chance to live. Medical documents and hospital bills will be shared for transparency, and updates about her condition will be provided whenever possible.
Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and go directly towards her medical expenses.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser so it can reach more people who may be able to help.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support during this incredibly difficult time.
