We lost this beautiful feline family member this week due to an emergency illness. Many of you do not know Orson, but he was such a sweet boy and he is leaving a massive hole in our family. He has been with us nearly 10 years, as long as Violet, who he quickly became therapy cat for.

In our desperate attempt to save him, we lost the majority of our rent money. We are lucky to have a cat person as a landlord, who has offered some understanding, but this leaves us in a very risky position at an already stressful time; Liza is in a 2 month gap between the end of EI and the start of employment (which starts soon, yay!) We had no room for error.

These are really hard times for everyone. Anything helps, including sharing.

We would like to offer something in return when we have the spoons to do so. Violet would like to draw and paint cat portraits. We are thinking of some other ideas together as a family.
