Floyd is my work friend, and we share a bond through our experiences with family loss. Nearly 30 years ago, I lost my sister Stacie to alcohol-related issues and stepped up to care for her children. Floyd’s story is similar—his sister passed away two years ago, and he took full custody of her three teenage sons. He’s been raising them alone as a single dad, working extra jobs to provide for them and keep their lives stable.

Recently, Floyd’s situation became even more challenging. His car engine blew several months ago, and he can no longer drive for extra income. Now, he walks to work every day, doing his best to keep up with bills and provide for his nephews. Without a family network to lean on, Floyd reached out to me for help. After learning more about his struggles, I decided to do everything I could—including starting this GoFundMe—to support him and his family.

The funds raised will help Floyd purchase a reliable car so he can get to work and regain the ability to earn extra income.
