Hello my name is John. On the morning of April 18, 2022 my mother Florinda Elder suffered a slip and fall and shattered her right patella (kneecap) in several places. She will be undergoing surgery on Friday May 20th to correct this and will be down and out for a while with a long road to recovery at 62 years old. This will also be the first of 2 surgeries. Due to the nature of how the fall happened the place where it happened can not be held responsible, therefore not only will all of her expenses be out of pocket except for what her insurance will cover, but it has just been brought to her attention that her out of pocket deductible will be well into the 4 digits and is due by next week in order for her to have the procedure. As of right now she is unable to move around without crutches, a walker, a wheel chair or assistance of others. The medical bills are definitely going to keep piling up and she is going to miss a lot of time from work due to the several months of physical therapy and rehab that will be required after this procedure.
