Hi, it’s me again. I am looking for help getting a microchip scanner (or two) purchased for use in the city of Florence. Due to some unfortunate circumstances my family had to move back to Denver, and my scanner came with me. Since the city refuses to take charge of animal welfare, and will not purchase a scanner, I’d like to try to get a universal one and a standard one for use amongst neighbors and volunteers.
I may consider asking the city again if they’d like one in the police station, or I may look into trying to get one in a secure box at the park or library or somewhere.
the universal scanners are much more expensive, but they ensure all chips on thr market wild be detected. It would be beneficial to have one of those on hand.
Having a scanner available in the city will help ensure that animals that are chipped go home- which reduces kennel time and resources being expended at the Humane Society, which is a major concern right now.
Please help me help the animals and citizens of Florence!
