Help Flora with Medical Bills & Car Repair

Hi, My name is Charissa and this is our housekeeper of 6 years, Flora Gastelum. Flora is beautiful soul whom I met through my friend, Stephanie, who hired Flora 9 years ago! Flora is exceptional at her job: on time, thorough, very communicative, and very careful. She now cleans my neighbor's house, my husband's friend's house, his mom's house, and 2 more of my friend's houses.

About a year ago, Flora started not feeling well. I noticed she looked fatigued and stressed, so I asked her if everything was ok. She reluctantly told me she wasn't feeling well and the doctor couldn't figure out what was wrong with her, and because she doesn't have health insurance, the bills for her tests were mounting. My husband and I gave her extra $ to help with those bills. Throughout the year, the appointments and exams have continued and they have finally pinpointed the medical issues, but the procedures (very common ones that you and I probably get yearly) are very expensive out of pocket. I wanted to ask family and friends and anyone who feels compelled to help financially if they are able (even a small amount goes a long way) to help her with the upcoming procedures. We have always been blessed with healthcare insurance, and I can't imagine reaching your 40's and 50's when you have to start getting procedures/checks for pain and not be able to afford the exams, let alone the procdures.

Flora also has a 20 year old car that started breaking down last year as well. She would arrive late or have to get rides from her family members, and it continues to be an issue. We are flexible and understanding, so we asked her about considering a newer car, but she said that she just can't afford a different car right now with the medical bills mounting. This is what triggered me to think of a fundraiser. If we can all pull together to help this kind soul, it would show God's love and blessings on her. Flora is an incredible woman of faith....she is humble and hard working, and ALWAYS GRATEFUL for her job. She texts us all the time thanking us for allowing her to clean our house. I've met her precious daughters and grandkids and they are so full of love and humility. If you can find it in your heart to consider helping this wonderful woman and alleviate her financial stress, we would be so grateful.....and so would she! God bless!
