My name is Flora, and I am currently facing homelessness while caring for my four beloved cats: Ashton, Mocca, Kuma, and Mono. Ashton, my oldest at four years old, has been with me since the day I was put out of my home in 2023. Mocca, who is now a year old, joined our family during a hurricane in 2024. I fed her as a kitten, and she decided to stay with Ashton and me. After being lost for two weeks, Mocca returned to me with two kittens of her own, Kuma and Mono, who are now six months old.
Despite my struggles with chronic depression and the instability of moving from house to house, my cats have been my constant source of comfort and hope. Unfortunately, my current living situation means I cannot keep them indoors, and I am desperate to provide them with a safe, warm outdoor space. My goal is to build a cat house or Catio for them to live outside a friend's home that doesn't allow pets indoors. I want to give them the same level of warmth and comfort they would receive inside, even if it means they have to stay outdoors.
To all those who have experienced the same love I have been able to receive from my fur family, I thank you from the deepest parts of my heart and soul. If not for them, I cannot imagine myself continuing my life alone. From the first day they came into my life, I have felt a huge amount of guilt for not being able to provide them a safe and warm life while hopping from house to house and sleeping out on the streets. This is my last chance to provide them a loving home with me, but if all fails, I will begin my search for loving homes for each of them, with other families who can care for them better than I ever could. Once again, thank you for your kindness and support.
