Help flood victims in Brazil

Hi, my name is Andora. I am a Brazilian living in South Wales.

Some of you may be aware that the south of Brazil has been hit by intense and repetitive floods over the past few months.

This last month, the floods have been so severe that it affected 80% of Brazil’s most southern state, Rio Grande do Sul. As a consequence, there are now 540,633 people displaced with around 77,000 people in emergency shelters.

My dear aunt, Susana, has been one of the many victims of this catastrophe. Fortunately, she is staying at a relative’s empty apartment. We are polling resources together to buy her clothes, bed, fridge and other necessary items. We have also many friends in my region who have lost everything that they’ve worked all their lives to obtain, their homes, their businesses, and all their precious possessions that held cherished memories.

Every pound you can spare will make a huge difference to my aunt and all my friends who lost everything.
