Help Flo, Seng, and Their 3 Young Children After the LA Fires
Dear friends and community,
My dear friend Flo, her husband Seng, and their three young children (9mos old, 3yrs old, and 5 yrs old) have been deeply affected by the recent devastating fires in Los Angeles.
The good news is that they are all safe and temporarily staying with family across SoCal. Their home is still standing, but their neighborhood was hit hard – nearly every other house on their block has been destroyed. The family’s home, located in a mandatory evacuation zone, is currently uninhabitable, with no water, gas, or electricity. They don’t know when they’ll be able to return and what work might be necessary for the place to be habitable again.
Flo and Seng purchased their home in 2012 as their “forever” home, a place to raise their family and build a life together. The kids were thriving in their small, nature-filled community, with their oldest just starting Kindergarten down the street in a French immersion program – something very important to Flo as she and her kids are fluent in French. But all of that has been taken away by the Eaton fire.
Now, Flo and Seng – both educators, face the heartbreaking task of starting over. While they’re grateful for their temporary shelter, it’s too far from the school where Seng teaches, and their kids’ daily routines. They need a new place to call home – a safe, stable environment where their children can spread out, sleep in their own beds, and find comfort amidst this chaos.
We’re raising funds to help Flo and Seng navigate this overwhelming time. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly to Flo and Seng’s account to help supplement what they might need the most during this difficult time.
Thank you for supporting this wonderful family. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them.
With gratitude,
Judy
