Hey everyone, my name is Kahlila.
I have a friend named Flo, and she is a senior citizen located here in Albuquerque. She grew up in Barelas. Flo has a big surgery coming up next week to replace her shoulder. She's quite the firecracker, she's about 4'11 but her personality lights up a room. Flo is very much a free spirit and doesn't have any family. She is independent and stubborn, loves old western films, pretty knick-knacks, cool art, and making crafts. She's been trying to save up for a car so she can feel a little freer instead of being cooped up in her apartment all the time. Recently, she hired a caregiver to come and take care of her, doing daily chores, running errands and to help her with her surgery post-op. On the first day of the caregiver being there, they stole over 1,200 dollars out of Flo's personal nightstand in her bedroom, in which she had specifically asked the caregiver not to go in. Flo has been devastated ever since. She's on social security and it's very hard for her to save up money, as it is for all of us. I know there is a lot going on in the world right now, and it may be a lot to ask. But I've started this Go Fund Me to try to help Flo get back some of what she's lost. In a world that is losing so much right now. Even if it's just a dollar, it would make Flo's life better and put a smile on her face. Sometimes that's all anyone can ask for. Thank you in advance, if you are unable to donate please share! Love thy neighbor & God bless you all!
