Hello! We are Flight 317, a band of young musicians based in Yarmouth, ME. We got our start making music at 317 Main Community Music Center (317main.org). We play and perform an array of bluegrass, traditional, and folk music around the greater Portland area. We have been playing music together for four years and have become like family. We are about to leave for college and our last hope before we embark on our separate journeys is to capture the essence of this significant, impactful part of our young lives.



As a part of Flight, our skills have grown and improved tremendously, and we have become better musicians and students. We have learned to improvise, solo, compose and arrange music, and sing harmonies. Being a part of Flight 317 for the past four years has not only allowed us to grow as musicians, but as people too. Every time we perform we gain confidence, and have forged lifelong connections. For all of us, music is such an amazing creative outlet and has allowed us to build such an incredible supportive community.


Before we take flight and go our separate ways, we would like to share our music with the world. To make this dream a reality, we need your help. The cost for recording and editing is expected to be around $2,000 and mastering and distribution another $1,000. We normally play gigs that would help cover these steep costs, but the COVID-19 pandemic has made this difficult. We would greatly appreciate anything that you are willing to donate to help us make this possible.
