Anyone who knows me knows how much my animals mean to me. Fleur isn’t “just a dog” she has been my constant through some of the hardest days and years of my life. She has given me comfort, companionship, and love when I needed it most. I owe her everything, and she owes me absolutely nothing. All I want is to give her the fighting chance she deserves.

Over the last few days everything changed so suddenly. Fleur became very unwell and was rushed to the vet, where she was found to be extremely jaundiced with suspected liver and kidney failure, and possible leptospirosis. She has now been in the ICU for four days, fighting with everything she has.

The costs of her treatment are rising , something I never expected and was completely unprepared for. I know some people will say, “You shouldn’t have pets if you can’t afford emergencies,” and that thought alone has made this so hard for me to write. I have never asked for help before, and I certainly don’t take this lightly.

But this situation is unexpected, overwhelming, and heartbreaking. If you know me, you know how devoted I am to all my animals. Fleur deserves every chance to pull through, and I’m trying everything I can to make that happen.
