Help a young Black woman flee emotional/mental abuse
I am reaching out on behalf of a dear friend who desperately needs your help. For her safety, her identity will remain anonymous, but she is a young Black woman who has been subjected to daily emotional and mental abuse at the hands of a family member.
As a survivor of physical abuse as a child from another family member, the PTSD, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts that she is currently suffering from are taking a detrimental toll on her mental and emotional health. She was able to escape one abusive living situation as a teenager, only to find herself in another home, enduring a lot of the same things.
The living situation is extremely toxic and becoming more volatile by the day and she unfortunately is unable to stay with any family members or friends. Because of the situation, we are taking action and it is URGENT that we are able to fundraise enough money so that she can put a down payment on her own apartment and finally escape the constant negativity, threats of violence, and mistreatment.
Her mental health and stability depend on being in a safe environment and being able to provide for herself. Any and all donations will be used for housing, utilities, mental health resources, and other necessities.
