On Monday, March 26th, our dear friend and colleague, Flaviana Lopez was told she would have to undergo emergency brain surgery. She's been told she could be off work for up to eight weeks for recovery. She just had surgery today(March 29th).
Because she is a contract employee, Flaviana has very limited benefits; disability coverage not being one of them. We're asking for donations to help alleviate the financial stress caused by lost wages and any medical expenses her family will have to cover (neither has a significant benefit plan as both are contract employees).
We'd like her to be able to focus soley on a speedy and thorough recovery and not the status of her bank account.
Any help you can provide this amazingly thoughtful and kind woman is greatly appreciated. We will take warm wishes too!
