My name is Llyle Hodge aka Juan Smilinho. I'm a football coach, youth worker and mentor with over 20 years of experience supporting young people across West, South West and North West London. I'm also the Founder and Head Coach of FLASHPOINT FOOTBALL CLUB.

FLASHPOINT FC is a London FA-affiliated, not-for-profit grassroots football club based in West London. We provide a fun, safe space for young people to improve their football skills whilst supporting their social, physical and mental wellbeing. Since launching in April 2021, we've grown into a thriving community access point, supporting over 500 young people aged 7–19 through community-based football sessions, mentoring opportunities and creating a competitive football pathway.

Our club is proud to compete in the London Youth Premier Showcase (LYPS) League, providing opportunities for players who may not otherwise have access to competitive football.

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

The 2026/27 season represents another significant milestone in the growth of FLASHPOINT FC.

For the first time since FLASHPOINT FC was established, we will have a standalone U13/14 team competing in the LYPS. Many of the players who have represented our U11/12 team over the past two seasons will now take the next step into 11-a-side football under the FLASHPOINT FC banner, creating opportunities for a new generation of U11/12 players to begin their own FLASHPOINT FC journey.

A group of our FLASHPOINT FC U14 boys enjoyed a successful 2025/26 season as part of the Sport London e Benfica U13/14 partnership, finishing 3rd in the LYPS and also lifting a trophy. Following the success of that partnership, it will continue into the 2026/27 season by extending the player pathway through the Sport London e Benfica U15/16 programme, ensuring more young people can continue their football development beyond FLASHPOINT FC.

Although FLASHPOINT FC operates within one of the wealthiest boroughs in the UK, our battle against material deprivation remains very real. We believe every young person deserves access to a high-quality, cost-effective football experience regardless of their financial circumstances.

We remain committed to keeping our weekly football sessions predominantly free, but competitive football comes with unavoidable costs. Your donation will help ease that burden, ensuring our players have access to the equipment and opportunities they need to play, develop and represent their community with pride.
