Help fix the Hutchens family Car

Hi, I'm Mercedes im fundraising for my family, my cars power steering went out about 3 weeks ago since then I have had a hard time getting to and from the store and taking the kids anywhere. My sister lives next door with her 2 kids and my fiance and I have one living with us. I watch my sisters kids while her and my fiance are at work. My sister doesn't have a Driver's license so she depends on me to help her get food for her house as well as shop for mine. I had gotten an estimate of how much it would cost to fix originally the gentleman said 870. I was like ok expensive but manageable. He call me the next day and apologized apparently he just gave me the labor quote not the part and labor quote which was now 2800.00, not manageable. We are trying to get this taking care of fast but it is what it is and will take however long we need. I need help if anyone can that would be appreciated from both my sisters family and mine.
