Help Fix Smiley's Crushed Jaw

Hi,

My name is Kathleen and I am a volunteer with Whisker Town Cats. I have a very special little foster kitten named Smiley who needs our help! She was brought to our rescue after being found by a good Samaritan in a gutter during a storm when she was quite young. We quickly realized that she needed significant medical treatment.

Smiley was evaluated by a specialist dental veterinarian at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Maitland, FL and she was diagnosed as having a crush injury that had healed, preventing her from opening her jaw. This can be fixed with surgery and she is scheduled to receive that on November 9.

We are now raising funds to pay for her surgery (which is not cheap!). Smiley is a very happy little girl and she loves to play and snuggle. It is amazing that she has made it this far, seeing as though she has to eat and drink solely by using her tongue like a lizard... in and out, in and out. Please help us give her a shot at a good quality of life through this surgery. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
