Hi,
So my amp died whilst it was being lent out at a show as a piece of backline. It wasn’t suppose to be used and was accidentally cooked and has died. Until I take it to a specialist I won’t know what has broken but it barely draws sound at max volume (a 100 watt amp). My assumption is when I came on stage to help during the set up of a band struggling with my amp is whoever set it up previously, (not me) pushed the pre-amps volume to the max, and the master on low whilst having another heavy amp top for hours. This meant the pre-amps were being driven to the max producing a lot of heat and not letting it escape causing something critical inside to overheat and die. I loved this amp and it treated me really well so I am gutted that it died.
I’m super poor right now and I'm in a hole of debt so I can’t just take it out on finance or dip into savings to take it to get serviced.
I would really appreciate some help in either raising some money to get it serviced to see if it can get fixed or to get something new of equivalent value. Ive helped put on a ton shows across Wales and try to be a supporting pillar in the scene so I’m hoping to get a hand to help me out as making music and playing loud brings me a lot of joy :)
