I’m reaching out in hopes of raising funds to help my mom, who is over 80 years old and currently without a job. Recently, she made the tough decision to fill in our old backyard pool—one that had been part of our family home since I was a kid. It had become a safety concern for local pets, wildlife, and neighborhood children, and she wanted to do the right thing.

After saving up for months, she hired someone she found online and paid him $2,400 to safely fill in and cover the pool. Sadly, after starting the job, the man left the work unfinished and completely botched. Now, the backyard is not only an eyesore but also still dangerous. We've been unable to reach him since, and the mess he left behind needs professional attention.

We’re trying to raise $5,000 to hire a reputable contractor who can clean up the mess and safely complete the job. My mom doesn’t have the means to do this on her own, and I hate seeing her deal with this added stress at her age.
