Help Fix My Fiat 500 and Rebuild My Life

Due to a bit of an avalanche of bad things happening, I had my first and only car repossessed back in 2014. For 9 years I took public transit in a city that's not at all transit friendly and paid too much for Uber and Lyft when said transit meant I'd be late or when it was too late or too early for busses to run.

In early 2023, I was able to get my license back and by May, I'd finally saved up for a used car, my beloved 2012 Fiat 500. What I didn't know was how much work she needed. Since bringing her home, she's already gotten four new-to-me tires, new shocks, and a front bumper repair.

Today I learned my check engine light isn't just damaged spark plugs as I'd hoped, but an oil valve has broken and oil is leaking throughout the car. I was told it'll be at least $1000 to repair it. This may come as a surprise, but I don't have that kind of money! I'm still rebuilding my credit and did not get approved for the repair shop's financing.

I'm asking for any possible help to get this repair and maybe a little extra to get the more minor issues she's been having for a while now. The real goal would be to get enough to pay off my lien but I'm afraid that's an almost impossible amount to consider. (Rebuilding credit also means astronomical liens)
