Help fix Francesca’s Essential Specialist Toilet

My name is Rachel, and I am the full-time, unpaid carer for my daughter Francesca, who has complex disabilities and is funded under NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC). Despite this, there are often delays and gaps in getting urgent help when something breaks, and we don’t have a team to step in quickly.

Right now, Francesca’s essential specialist toilet (a Geberit AquaClean) has broken – the cleaning function no longer works. This toilet is vital for her dignity, hygiene, and daily care. Without it, even basic personal care becomes extremely difficult.

The repair requires an engineer and is estimated to cost over £300. An engineer could be here within 72 hours, but with no OT and delays in getting official approval, this could take several days through normal channels. Whilst responses take time, Francesca is left without this vital piece of kit, so I’m setting up this fundraiser to get it fixed urgently.

As an unpaid carer, I do not have a career or savings to cover emergencies like this. I am tired of having to fight for essentials to be acted upon and funded in a reasonable time. If you can help us raise the funds to get this repaired quickly, it would make an enormous difference to Francesca’s comfort and dignity, and relieve the stress we are facing.
