In addition to being one of Denver's most accomplished sprint coaches, Steve Kiper is a great man. In my life I have known very few people who give of themselves as much as he does. As a couple examples, he is very involved in his church and takes a special needs friend out to lunch after each service. Additionally, this past fall, one of his in-laws had an amputation. Steve spent upwards of four hours with him almost every day for several months during his recovery. He is also very generous about what he charges his athletes, caring more about their success than what he gets out of it. These are but a few of many examples of ways in which Steve gives. Everyone who knows him knows that he is giving so much that he often does not devote enough attention to his own needs. With that in mind, his athletes, myself included, have decided to do something to give back to him. Everyone who knows Steve can easily recognize his car by the dent in the front. This campaign strives to fix the dent and some of the car's internal issues. If this campaign does very well, perhaps we could even help Steve purchase a new car altogether.
