Chloe's Path to UC Davis as a First-Gen Student Needs You!

Hi, everyone! My name is Chloe King, and I’m excited to share that I’ve been accepted to UC Davis, my dream school, as a Human Biology major! This opportunity is something I’ve been working towards for years, and I can’t wait to pursue my education there. However, FASFA as only enabled me to qualify for loans, and the costs of tuition, housing, and other expenses are still significant, especially for my family.

I’ve always been dedicated to my education. Throughout high school, I’ve taken a rigorous course load of AP and honors classes, consistently achieving honor roll and graduating with life membership in the California Scholarship Federation (CSF). I’ve also received multiple awards recognizing my academic achievements and character. In addition to academics, I’ve been actively involved in extracurriculars such as theatre (stage managing and acting), FFA, choir, National Art Honor Society (NAHS), Girl Scouts, drama club, and student senate. Beyond school, I enjoy drawing, gaming, and reading—activities that keep me balanced and creative.

Growing up, my family worked incredibly hard to support me and my younger sister, who was born with GoldenHar Syndrome. My mom had to quit her job to become her full-time caregiver, and my dad worked tirelessly to provide for us. While we’ve found stability over the years, the cost of attending college is still a challenge. Despite these obstacles, I’ve remained committed to my education and my dream of one day working in the medical field to help people like my sister.

I’m reaching out to ask for your support in making this dream a reality. Your donations will go directly toward my tuition, books, and living expenses at UC Davis.
