Hello,

I am the lead mentor for FIRST Robotics Team 1511 - Rolling Thunder from Penfield NY.

We need your help to get our team to the FIRST Robotics World Championships in Houston Texas.

Our team has earned our spot at the Championships by receiving the Chairman's Award. The Chairman's Award is the most prestigious award in FIRST. It honors the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the mission of FIRST. Our students have been working very hard all year long for multiple years to receive this award and qualify for Championships.

This year's Championships are very important to us. Our team has not been able to compete at Championships since 2017. All of the students on the team have never had the experience of competing with their robot at Championships. They earned their spot in 2020 by receiving the Chairman's Award only to have it taken away when the pandemic occurred, and Championships was canceled.

We could really use your support in order to fund travel for our team to get to Houston for this year's Championships. This is an amazing opportunity for the students and one that they have worked so hard for over the last 3 years to earn.
