Help First Responder get life changing surgery to walk again
Donation protected
For the last 9 years, I have been a first responder on a catastrophe assessment team. I drive an 18-wheeler into storms and set up emergency power and emergency heat and air conditioning for disaster relief. I've powered many hospitals, schools, and apartment complexes. I've risked my life every storm, driving hours on ice or through tornadoes and high water. I have many work-related injuries, and they finally caught up to me. I need surgery on my back and on my nerves in my leg and my neck. I am currently partially paralyzed and not able to sit up, stand, or walk. The hospital doesn't want to help me because I don't have insurance or the money for the surgery. They want to give me steroid shots in my back and send me home paralyzed. I have sacrificed my life to help people all over the country over the years, and now I'm at my lowest because of it. I've never asked for help before, but here I am, looking for a helping hand and searching for a little bit of hope for the future. I've never been so scared in my life than right now, and I've literally driven through the middle of the worst and most dangerous storms in this country, but I find myself laying here in a hospital bed terrified like a young child.
I feel like I've lost my life, and I pray I am able to get the 3 surgeries I need and that I will be able to walk again.
