A message from Haley and Rosie

There are moments in life when "thank vou" simply does not feel big enough- and this is one of them. After the Aspen Acres Fire, my mom and I were left trying to process a loss that changed our lives in ways we are still learning to understand In the middle of the shock, heartbreak, and uncertainty, all of you stepped in and reminded us that we were not standing in those ashes

alone. To the person who created the GoFundMe, to every person who donated, shared it, prayed for us. checked on us, brought supplies, offered help, or simply reminded us to keep going-thank you, Every donation was more than money. It was one less impossible decision. One small piece of stability when everything felt upside down. It was food, clothing, necessities, and the ability to begin rebuilding some kind of normal. Most of all, it was proof that when fire took so much from us, it could not take our community, our hope, or the love surrounding us.

My mom and I have spent much of our lives trying to show up for others, especially through the fire department. Being the ones who needed help was unfamiliar, humbling, and honestly very difficult. But you showed up for us with a level of kindness and generosity that we will carry for the rest of our lives. We may never be able to personally repay every act of kindness, but we promise we will keep passing it forward. We will keep showing up. We will keep helping where we can. And we will never forget the people who helped carry us through one of the hardest chapters of our lives. From the deepest parts of both of our hearts- thank you for helping us rise from the ashes. You gave us far more than financial support. You gave us strength, hope, and the courage to begin again.

In June and July, 2026, the Aspen Acres wildfire tore through our community with a force none of us will ever forget. Among those battling the flames were our own local firefighters—men and women who stood on the front lines to protect their neighbors, their town, and everything they could save. But in a heartbreaking twist, Rosie, Haley, and Matthew were forced to watch their own homes burn while they continued fighting to save others. They didn’t step back. They didn’t leave their post. They stayed—because that’s who they are. Their courage cost them everything.

These firefighters lost their homes, their belongings, their memories, and the places where their families felt safe. Now they face the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up while still showing up to serve this community. We are raising funds to help them with immediate needs—temporary housing, clothing, essentials, and the first steps toward rebuilding.

Every donation, no matter the size, is a direct act of gratitude for the people who put our safety above their own.
