support firefighters fight for daughters recovery

Hi, my name is Laurie Gendreau and my brother Cory is a fire fighter/paramedic. His daughter Makayla has been fighting with a condition called Hurler syndrome, most of her life. Her condition has caused her to have a yet another major surgery (13 incisions) on 1/25/23. It has not gone smoothly and because of complications she ended up in the ICU for several days. She had to have a blood transfusion and heart rate remains very elevated 6 days later. They are doing tests now to determine if she has a blood clot. She was supposed to be home right now but at this rate we don’t know when they will get home. Cory and Anna are too proud to ask for help, so I am asking for them. He will not only be out of work a while but it gets very expensive to go back and forth to his town from the hospital and having at least one of them up there all the time, while also caring for their other children.
