The Dallas Hispanic Firefighters Association is on a mission to help our member and Dallas firefighter, Ted Carpenter Fight Stage 4 Cancer.
For over 23 years, Ted Carpenter has proudly served the City of Dallas as a Firefighter-courageously walking into danger when others were running out. He has dedicated his life to saving others, and now he needs our help in the biggest battle of his life.
In October 2024, Ted was diagnosed with cancer caused by asbestos exposure-something he encountered while serving our community. Since his diagnosis, Ted has endured countless rounds of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and two major surgeries, all with unwavering determination and faith.
Ted has been married to his wife, Bree, for 25 years, and together they have built a beautiful family with their two children- Aubree (21) and Tate (19). Bree has stood by Ted’s side every step of the way and was recently forced to leave her job to care for him full-time after his most recent surgery. The doctors have given Ted a difficult prognosis of only 2-3 years, even with treatment, but Ted is not giving up. He is a fighter at heart and has made the decision to pursue every possible treatment option-both medical and holistic-in this fight for his life.
Unfortunately, many holistic treatments are not covered by insurance and come at a substantial cost. With Bree unable to work and medical expenses mounting, the financial burden has become overwhelming.
Ted has spent his entire career protecting and serving others. Now is our chance to support him. Your donation-no matter the size-will directly help cover the cost of continued treatments, allow Bree to remain by his side as his caregiver, and give Ted every opportunity to keep fighting this cancer with everything he has.
Ted is not ready to give up. He is fighting for his life, for his wife, and his children. Please consider donating and sharing this page to help Ted continue this battle with the strength, dignity, and support he deserves. Thank you for standing with the DHFA and the Carpenter family during this time. Your generosity means more than words can express.
Please continue to pray for the Carpenter Family. Thank you for your support, your love and your involvement with this family. Together WE can make a difference.
Respectfully,
Stefani Salinas
DHFA President
