Help Firas Shabat

My name is Firas Shabbat. I am the brother of Hossam Shabbat, the Al Jazeera Mubasher journalist who was martyred while courageously reporting the truth about what is happening in Gaza. Hossam gave his life to amplify the voices of the people here — voices like mine.

Since losing my brother, life has become almost unbearable. My family and I are struggling each day, not only with the pain of our loss but also with the growing fear that we won’t be able to find food or meet our most basic needs. The situation in Gaza has worsened dramatically. After the aid blockade that began two months ago, food prices have skyrocketed beyond what most of us can afford. Every day, we wake up unsure of whether there will be anything to eat, or if tomorrow will be even harder than today.

This is why I am turning to you for help.
