Help Fiona survive black mold devastation

Hi - I never thought I would be in this position - but here I am asking for help.
Not very many people know about the devastation Black Mold Sickness can cause. Sadly, my family have found out first hand.. Black mold sickness can change everything. It can make you so sick you can’t function. My daughter, Fiona, is experiencing it firsthand. Our family home needs mold remediation and Fiona needs intensive treatment - that insurance does not cover. I have been wrestling with the best way to tell this story and ask for help. Someone told me to just write from my heart. So here goes!

I have been the primary caretaker for my beloved daughter, Fiona, ever since Fiona was disabled several years ago as the result of a violent crime. I have worked tirelessly since finding out about her abuse to get her the medical and psychiatric care she needs. Fiona has needed three major surgeries for her physical injuries over the past three years, and intensive therapy and psychiatric support for her PTSD.
Throughout this ordeal Fiona has been so very brave and worked incredibly hard to heal and reclaim her life. Last spring she was finally healing from her physical injuries and making incredible progress in her mental health journey. I have been able to go back to work full time and have started promising new career.

Then in July - everything changed. First, Fiona’s Dad lost his job through downsizing. And then Fiona started getting sick again. At first, she was excessively tired and feeling more achy than usual.. As time went on, she had abnormal, INTENSE, insomnia - going days without any sleep, combined with nightmares which have made her fearful of getting any sleep at all.. Hair loss, abdominal issues, brain fog, aches, pains, anxiety, panic and depression began to attack her well-being.
Fiona became unable to participate in daily activities - activities she so recently regained. She couldn’t care for her beloved pets, or take joy in feeding her flock of ducks. Our dear girl, for the most part, was completely incapacitated. It is such a hard blow for her - after she worked so hard on getting better.
As they tried to understand what was wrong, we took Fiona to specialist after specialist - none of whom could find a cause. All the while Fiona was getting progressively sicker. It wasn’t Lyme disease or a virus or lupus or MS or anything else. Finally we saw a naturopath who asked about mold. It turns out, our house had a roof leak that had gone undetected, and the space under the kitchen and above the basement ceiling was full of black mold. I have had some symptoms, as has her Dad, Aldon, but they are more limited. The doctors think Fiona has been more severely affected because her body has been through so much. We filed an insurance claim. The insurance company told us that since the leak had gone undetected - even though the damage was not visible, they are not going to cover the claim. This has been devastating news.
We have found a wonderful contractor who will be able to remediate the mold and fix the floor/ceiling but the cost is $15,500. This amount - along with Fiona’s uncovered medical costs, combined with Fiona’s Dad, Aldon now working at a job that pays half of what he had been making, and me just reentering the workforce - is completely beyond reach. We are borrowing what we can from family and friends to get the mold work started as soon as possible - but those kind folks can’t afford to foot the bill forever.
.
I am asking with a grateful and humble heart for donations to help Fiona and our family back from this disaster. She has been through so much already.
