As we were driving on highway 140 we noticed a dog crate on the side of the road. We turned back and approached the crate as we saw something inside moving. We then started to approach the crate and noticed a dog inside that was badly hurt. Her front legs seemed like they were lacerated to the bone. We approached the dog and saw that she was very malnourished to where you can see her ribs and spine. The depth of the injury seemed like it was way more than we can handle. We rushed her to the Emergency Room.
After the vet examined, took x-rays, blood samples, it was determined that her front legs had bone decay, she was flea infested, and extremely under weight. This would require multiple surgeries, bone shavings, and a skin graph. The vet suggested for us to put her down because this would be a big project and a financial burden on us. We consulted with the family and we came to the conclusion that we would give her the opportunity to live a normal life. Therefore, we are asking the community to contribute anything that they possibly can. If monetary is not possible even a share goes a long way!
