With prayerful reflection, the church leaders of Finote Tsidk Tigray Orthodox Tewahido Church are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of our church community during a time of great trial.

Our church building recently suffered a serious structural collapse, including the roof and upper level. Emergency authorities declared the building unsafe, and we were instructed not to enter. As a result, our congregation suddenly lost access to its house of worship and gathering.

Finote Tsidk Tigray Orthodox Tewahido Church serves the Tigrayan community across the DMV area. For our faithful, the church is not merely a structure, but a sacred place of prayer, healing, and unity. Many members of our congregation have already endured profound loss during the recent war in the Tigray region, and the church has long been a refuge of faith, consolation, and hope.

Because of the damage, all church activities in the building have stopped, and we are currently worshiping temporarily in another location. We now face serious challenges as we seek to stabilize the situation and prepare for recovery and rebuilding.
