Help Finn Find Safe Housing

In support of my dear friend, Finn, I am here to ask for your help so they can find a safe new place to live as soon as possible. Finn is a kind person, a big-hearted friend, and a hard worker, but their safety and stability is now at risk due to leaving an abusive living situation they shared with their now ex-partner, which has placed Finn in financial and emotional hardship, making it hard to find a new housing situation.

Finn has recently physically removed themself from this toxic relationship, where they were gaslit, manipulated, and received near daily episodes of physical aggression from their ex-boyfriend. Although Finn has done their best to remain kind and civil in negotiating their breakup, this has been largely one sided.

Originally, their ex was going to pay the rent for January for the apartment they shared, because Finn has not lived there in over a month (despite still paying rent) and has been residing in temporary safe spaces– but their ex took back their promise, leaving Finn homeless and in a difficult situation.

Though Finn works in the video production industry, their financial stability has been impacted by COVID's reduction of job opportunities, and the fact that there is currently a dead season of work in the wintertime. Therefore, right now it's hard for them to gather the funds to find safe housing immediately.

We are asking for any help our community can offer so Finn can break their lease, cover rent for the month of January, find a new place to relocate asap AND cover the costs of moving in addition to security deposits in a new place.
