I woke up to nylon jewelry cord all over the house. I was amused at Finnegan's playfulness until I realized the end of the nylon cord was hanging from his mouth. The X-rays showed he swallowed enough to make his intestines look like an accordion. Either he would have the cord removed or he would be euthanized, because it was going to start cutting through.
Exams, X-rays, anesthesia, endoscopy, blood tests, a major external incision, internal incisions, overnight stays, recovery exams, follow-up visits, and medications are very expensive. After recovering for a few days, Finnegan had to go back to the hospital for an urinary obstruction. This almost doubled the vet bill.
Most people who know me know that my son, my students, and my pets are my life! My pets are my family, but they are also my therapy. As a virtual teacher working for a private company, I do not have the funds for my personal healthcare insurance nor emergency healthcare for my animal family. Please help me to get Finnegan the continued care he needs.
