Help Finn Become Pain Free
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Sadly, my boy Finn (Objectively the Best Boi in the World) is requiring medical treatment that I cannot afford by myself.
For the last few years I’ve been taking Finn to multiple vets and specialists, spending thousands trying every treatment available with no real improvement.
Recently, we sought the opinion of a new vet who conducted fresh scans that revealed he has severe hip dysplasia, secondary arthritis and some concerns with his spine. He is in considerable pain.
I met with a specialist just over a week ago. The good news is that we now have a diagnosis and he believes Finn’s condition is treatable. The bad news is the expense. He said that he is concerned that Finn’s lower back (sacrum) has a pinched nerve caused by severe and chronic inflammation.
This is a chronic pain issue and the most effective treatment is a series of 3 epidural injections into the sacrum over the course of 6 weeks. As these epidurals require Finn going under anaesthesia, this treatment isn't cheap. We’re looking at approx $1350-$1700 per injection, coming out to about $4-$5,000 all up.
In light of Finn's worsening condition and the recommendations from his vet, I am seeking any assistance possible to cover these costs as they are substantial and beyond my current means.
Finn is not just a pet; he is a very much loved member of my family and I am really starting to struggle now both emotionally and financially. He is an otherwise healthy boy who has the drive to run but is just not able to. Any assistance with this I would be beyond grateful for. No donation is too small, and every contribution brings us closer to helping Finn live pain-free for the remainder of his life.
I have attached some of Finn’s scans, medical records and treatment quote should anyone want further clarification on any of this. All funds will go to his medical care.
